I love cupcakes and I love making them for others. They are a beautiful way to dress up a table, make someone feel special or to say thank you. One of the best things about cupcakes is that they are loved by children and adults alike and can be either sopisticated or very cute. There are so many different ways that cupcakes can make an event. They can be scattered over a number of tables or they can be set in a multi level tier cake or even served on plates ready to go. I went to a dinner one night and when I walked through the door the first thing I noticed was that candles filled the room. It gave the room such wonderful ambience and set the stage for a lovely evening. Cupcakes can have that same effect. Gone are the days of boring cupcakes. I love making delicious little bites that are only limited by creativity. One of my favourites is my cherry ripe cupcake. These ones, as the name suggests are moist cupcakes with a sticky chocolate cherry ripe centre. They are so moorish that one doesn’t seem to be enough and there never seems to be enough to go around. Gourmet cupcakes really are my weakness.
And of course cupcakes are also perfect as part of birthday themes. From soccer and pirate parties for young boys to princess and fairy parties for little girls, kids just simply love the different cupcake decorating ideas.
